Essbase Administration Services (EAS) Hangs When Expanding Essbase Server Node

Symptoms

EAS hangs when expanding Essbase server node.

Cause

The Arborpath and Arbormsgpath environment variables were added on the EAS server and were pointing to an Essbase file location located on a different server. This was causing the EAS server to hang.

Solution

Remove the Arborpath and Arbormsgpath environment variables on the EAS server and reboot the system.
